to which I have been selected;

I will be true to the principles for which it stands;

I will be loyal to my school;

And will maintain and encourage

High standards of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

2013-2014 Officers:

President: Taylor Mayes

Vice President: Rachel Gangloff

Secretary: Emily Day

Treasurer: Emily Peak

Historian: Emily Andrews

2013-2014 Members: Jonathan, Kagan, Libby, Zach, Valarie, Jacob, Megan, Jordan, Caleb.

Activities: NHS has had several activities this year. We hosted a community Red Cross Blood Drive in the fall and again in the spring. In December, we had a Secret Santa gift exchange and Christmas party with each student bringing a special treat for the party. Members worked the concession stand at a basketball game for their fund-raiser. Seniors who volunteer 8 hours at the blood drive and/or give blood will be eligible to wear the Red Cross cord at graduation ceremonies. Seniors may also apply for a Red Cross scholarship of $250 to be awarded to one senior in NHS.

New members will be informed of their election into National Honor Society in February.

Officer petitions and voting will be held the first week of March.

New member induction for the 2014-15 school year will be at the end of March.
