October Student of the Month

The October 2019 Students of the Month for Wellsville-Middletown Jr/Sr High are Alexis Wright (JH) and CJ Curd (HS). Mr. Robertson nominated Alexis for “being become a leader in my band class, and has been nominated for NEMO Junior High Honor Band. I see her constantly helping others and being kind to her peers.”  Alexis is the daughter of Sultana and Eric Wright of Wellsville.  Alexis is currently a 7th grader. Her favorite pastime is playing basketball with my siblings.  Alexis favorite subject is Reading and Math, and she enjoys all types of foods. She is involved in cross country, basketball, and track.  Alexis says the best part of being a tiger is being able to interact with friends and her teachers. Her future plans include going to school, helping others, and becoming a baker or an orthopedist.  CJ was nominated by Mr. Boenker for “he works extremely hard and is always wanting to do well. He is respectful, hard working, and desires to not only succeed, but to do so in the utmost way.”  CJ is the son of Chris and Shalon Curd of Wellsville.  He is currently a freshman. His favorite pastime is playing sports and going on vacation with family.  CJ favorite subject is Math and his favorite food is ribs. CJ says the best part of being a tiger is that everyone is nice to everyone.  CJ’s future plans include pursuing a career as a professional basketball player. 

The criteria for student of the month are high attendance rate for the month, contributes to class, club, and/or athletic activities, showed marked improvement or continued excellence in performance, is prepared for class, class participation, demonstrates responsibility, and is respectful to peers and teachers.  Thank you to Dairy Mart for donating a cheeseburger meal to this month’s winners.
